The raw material for GMT block pallets is primarily made from GMT, which stands for Glass Mat Reinforced Thermoplastics. It is a composite material consisting of a thermoplastic resin matrix reinforced with long glass fibers or continuous glass fiber mats.
The GMT material used in block pallet mainly comes from scrapped automotive parts such as headliners, door panels, rear panels, seat backs, load-bearing panels, and other interior materials of cars.
Lightweight GMT block pallet have expandable properties. After mixing polypropylene and long glass fiber semi-finished products through three types of mixing equipment, the temperature, pressure, and gap of the compounding machine can be controlled to produce lightweight GMT block pallet of different densities.
